A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 30 months of experience in the automation field as Manager, supervisor or engineer are required.

Duties:

• Operate computer-assisted engineering, design software, and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Confer with engineers, and customers to discuss existing and potential engineering projects and products.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential electrical engineering studies and projects.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, installation standards and specifications.
• Prepare specifications for purchases of materials and equipment.
• Estimate labor, material, and construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards.
• Design electrical systems and components that minimize electric energy requirements, such as lighting systems designed to account for natural lighting.
• Collect data relating to commercial and residential development, population, and power system interconnection to determine operating efficiency of electrical systems.
• Integrate electrical systems with renewable energy systems to improve overall efficiency.
